Sunday
Yep I know all of these pictures of Ty look almost exactly the same. :)
Blake made up a game today before church. He grabbed an empty cereal box to put all his pieces in. He went to town cutting out little rectangles and drawing shapes and the number seven on them. I guess you take turns picking from the box and if you get one with a seven on it then you get to pick a song to sing.

Dots
Janie's new dot outfit from Grandma. I have a thing for polka dots and she knows it so she always sends me stuff for Janie with them. Why do I love dots so much? I don't know.
Can't see them as well but Ty has baby acne dots all over his face and neck. Just sticking with the dot theme. This picture is of him trying to make noise. I forgot and love how when a baby is finding his voice his upper lip sticks out a little. He does this when we stick our tongues out at him. I love how I can see in his eyes that he is noticing my sounds and mouth movements and wants to participate even though he doesn't know how.
Here are Blake's dots. Not as cool. We were at the park yesterday for 3 hours and after we got home I gave him a bath and noticed he had a rash all over his body. They were everywhere and Blake said they itched. We were told to give him Benedryl and cream last night. This morning when I saw him they had grown. And they look freaky. I took him to the doctor today and he said that they are idiopathic hives, which means we don't know where they came from. He said maybe the sun but probably not anything from the park. They will go away in about a week. They look way worse in person and it makes me sad! There are some on his face now too. Blake doesn't seemed to phased by it which is good.

Kids
Scary! Janie went outside to play and came back looking like this. Chalk and mud.
Here is a smile. I love how it is big and makes his eyes squint.
Blake and Janie are always wanting to touch Ty so I tell them to just touch the top of his head. Now they are always rubbing his head and they have rubbed all of his top hair off. Looking like an old man.
Blake was (always is) bugging Janie in the car. "I will just do this so I cannot see Blake."
We found a new park today. It had toys to play on, water area, basketball hoops, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, grass area, ping pong table, picnic benches, horse shoe, and bocce ball. It was awesome.

Stuff
Last week we went downtown to the splash pad. Ty just stayed in his car seat but he wore a cute swim outfit.
He is six weeks old today and time is flying. He is surprisingly kind of on a schedule. I find myself feeding him at a lot of the same times every day. Every night at about 5pm and morning feedings at 2am and then about 6am have been consistent.
The smile is emerging. Eric was getting him to smile above but every time I snapped a picture I missed it. Stay tuned.
We have had a few rainy days this week. I found a recipe in a magazine for "play sand." You mix 4 cups of flour with 1/2 cup of oil. It worked and entertained the kids for over an hour. It got messier as time wen on but we were in the garage so just swept it up. It was all over their clothes so we undressed for baths. The kids asked if they could see the rain...
and had so much fun dancing and singing naked in it.
Janie loves Ty and all babies. Whenever she sees another baby somewhere she asks if she can touch them. Very sweet.

Something Else
Janie is 2.5 years old now and she is something. She admires Blake and follows everything he does. She is concerned when someone else is crying and will go pat them on the back or give a hug. She will not nap for me and ignores me as she climbs out of her crib. She will do anything for a snack or treat. When she cries she really says "boo hoo." I always want to read her books but she won't let me. She would rather "read" to herself--she sits with a pile of books and goes through each one making up the story with a high pitched voice. When Blake bugs her she screams so loud. Janie loves playing with friends. She has been getting into mischief lately. Her favorite is to sneak into a bathroom and pump way to much soap on her hands and get a good lather going. Her song request at night has been "Hush Little Baby" and she makes me change some of the words to the song. She jumps up and down when she dances. She makes me smile.
