Blake is 5!

 I took Blake and Janie to grab donuts before Eric went to work.

 

 Blake and Jude at the beach. 

 

 

 

 

Randomly throughout the day Blake would smile and squeal how he couldn't wait for night time when we would eat cake and open presents. 

 

 

Before bed I told everyone to tell Blake something they love about him.  So Janie said that she loved opening his presents with him.  Blake said that wasn't about him so she needed to say something else.  So she said she loved playing with him.  Then Blake walked over to me and waited for me to go.  I said I loved how kind, obedient, and helpful he is.  He nodded then walked over to Eric and waited for his response.  Eric said how he loved playing sports with Blake. 

 

 

 

I turned around and saw Ty sitting on the table.  I guess he climbs now.  He is also loving the stairs.

 

Eric's Bday

 

 

Eric turned 32 last Monday.  We got home from St. Louis at Sunday night way late.  So everyone was tired on Monday.  He had to work and had mentioned he had to mow the lawn when he got home.  So I mowed the lawn as a birthday present.  A big birthday present in my eyes.  If that doesn't say I love you then I don't know what does.  It took me a little over 2 hours!  We have a lot of grass and I haven't ever really mowed before.  My arm was sore from trying to start it.  After I was done it took an hour for the buzzing and numbness in my hands to go away.  It was a good workout and I might do it again.  Eric is always trying to get me to mow.  Kind of in a joking way but kind of seriously.  So when he pulled up in the driveway he had a big smile on his face.  Three birthdays down and one more to go this week.

 

Here are some things the kids have said recently:

 

Blake asked me what a bra was.  I explained and he said with his hand in the air waving back and forth:  "Oh so it is so they don't wag around?"

 

Janie was came out of her room when she was supposed to go to sleep and said "If there were no houses then all the people would live outisde."  Then she ran back to bed.

 

Blake was going to the bathroom and sitting on the toilet.  "Mom look.  I pretend sometimes that this is my big hard turtle shell."  (Toilet seat cover)
