Rest of time with Marita & Newel

Dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.

Janie went to a birthday party for Evie at a pottery painting store.  She painted a giraffe.

Before

After

Marita helped me paint Cal's room.  It looked so much cleaner after!  We spend the day painting and talking while Grandpa and Eric were in charge of the kids.

Dinner at Dairy Queen

A picture of all of the Christmas crafts before they got tossed.

Eric got sick on Saturday night after Christmas.  He was supposed to give a talk the next day.  I also started to not feel well.  Newel stepped in and gave the talk in Eric's place (Eric had typed it up).  Marita and Newel took all the kids to church while Eric and I stayed home and slept.  They are amazing!  They went home that Sunday night and we just prayed that they would not catch the sickness we had.

Ty made one of these paddle balls for everyone for Christmas.

A new game called Azul.

Poor Cal caught whatever bug we got a few days later and was sick on New Years Eve.  We had been home for a few days recovering from sickness.  We set up to meet some friends at the church so our kids could run around in the gym.  My kids were very anxious to get out of the house.  On our drive to the church Cal threw up so much.  It was horrible.  The kids were devastated that we had to cancel our plans and turn around to go home.  I ended up throwing that car seat away because it was too disgusting.

Christmas Day

Baking gingerbread cookies.

My camera did not work great on Christmas day--so many pictures were blurry.  But it was great having Newel and Marita here for Christmas this year.  Happy kids!
