blAKE IS HAPPY TOODAY

 

Blake and Janie went outside on Saturday to play with chalk.  I went for a run this morning and left through the backyard and found this.  Pretty much made my day that he wrote this.

Fun Day

I told Blake last week that all we were going to do until kindergarten starts is have fun.  Friday we had a full day of it.  We went with our friends the Tews to a park/splash pad a few towns away.  The kids played happily for three hours.  It was a beautiful day and fun to go somewhere different. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A friend told me about this well known ice cream shop called Oinks near our fun park so we went to check it out.  It was really good and the kids were in heaven. 

 

Later in the day we went on a field trip to the fire station.  I don't think I've ever been to one.  Eric was home with Ty.  I told Blake that now was his chance to ask the fireman any questions he had.  He told me he didn't have any.  Which was a first!  And then he suddenly thought of 100 questions on the ride home.  I love how his wheels are always turning.

Killing time at the airport.  I think we had around 3 to 4 hours to spend.  We found a corner where music was playing so we had a little dance party.

Kids loved taking pictures with my camera.  And running up and down that ramp Eric is on.  And we let them squeal and run because they were happy.

 

 

This is after our flight.  Flight went well.  So glad Eric was there because Ty was so wiggly.  We took about 15 minute shifts and kept passing him back and forth.  Janie Janie bo Banie was coloring next to Eric.  Next thing he knew she had colored marker all over her hands.  Isn't she old enough not to do that?  It took a couple of days to come off.
