Halloween

We went to our ward Halloween party.  We ate chili and cornbread and then the kids trunk or treated outside.  Afterwards Eric went to the airport to pick up his mom who was coming to visit and help for the week.  I went home and was cleaning up.  I noticed that Chet had gone into the laundry room and shut the door.  He was trying to be sneaky and was helping himself to a cauldron of candy.

On Halloween night, we first attended a neighborhood party and ate dinner and met our neighbors.  Afterwards the kids trick or treated.  Because we have a small neighborhood, many houses handed out regular sized candy.  The kids were in heaven.

I was 38+ weeks pregnant and was having a hard time walking around while they trick or treated so I went home.  I was having contractions that night and thought I could be in labor.  They kept coming and were less than five minutes apart.  We ended up going to the hospital only to be sent home for a false alarm.

Kim Comes to Visit!

Kim brought her three kids to visit us for ten days.  It was really great.

We were all able to go to Ty's field trip to the pumpkin patch.  We went for a hay ride, picked a pumpkin, and went through a corn maze.  I thought we were stuck in that wet maze for good.

I pulled the kids out of school and we went to Chuck E. Cheese!  Dress up for Halloween and get fifty free tickets?  Ok!

My kids had dentist appointments.  Kim held down the fort in the waiting room.  Ty had his first check up.  He did great!  He really loved it and kept talking about it afterward.

These kids raked all these leaves.

Elaine and I went to visit Janie at school and ate lunch with her and her friends.  We surprised her and it was fun to see her face when she saw us.

I was able to volunteer in Blake's class for the first time.  He is such a good student and it was fun to see his classroom and meet his friends.

Got some gaming in.

We went to the library a couple of times.  At one point I was checking out books while Kim was watching the seven kids.  They were getting a little rowdy at the end and an older lady asked her if she could keep the kids quiet.  The lady said she had hearing aids in her ears and they were ringing.  Woopsies.

Elaine's Beanie Boo named Ice Cube

The high school put on a Halloween activity where you go from room to room and play a different game to receive candy.  Kim stayed home with Chet and Reid.  I took these five and got plenty of looks with my crew in tow and my big belly.  It was fun though.  The kids were eating candy as they went, eager to get more.

Kim made lots of food for me to put in my freezer.  She made muffins, bread, crock pot meals, egg burritos, and peppermint patties.

I loved having her and wish we didn't live a zillion miles away.  Our kids fit right in together and they played and played.

October Fun

Chet is a busy little boy.

Blake bought this baseball net with his birthday money.  It is perfect for him to practice with.

Chet stopped taking naps.  But he couldn't make it through the whole day awake.  He started falling asleep in the afternoon if we were in the car.  He stayed asleep one day when I held him at a park.  It was around this day that Eric and I seriously started talking about getting his tonsils and adenoids removed.

Blake ran at the park for fun for fifteen minutes.  He didn't want to leave but Mom had to go to the bathroom.

Playing at Playground World.  They love this place.

Pumpkin Festival

We went with our friends the Ludlow's to a Pumpkin Festival.  There was a three hundred foot slide, corn maze, petting zoo, hay ride, and more.  Everyone had a great time.  I was 36 weeks pregnant and a stranger commented that I looked like I had swallowed a pumpkin whole.  I thought that was clever.
