I Love These People

We had pizza at Roundtable after our family pictures. We ate in a private room and Janie had the biggest blow out of her life.

As of late

Blake is loving the holiday festivities. I just try to keep him busy. We are leaving for California on Thursday. Eric will stay 10 days and I will stay 3 weeks. All of my family will be there and I can't wait to see them. I hope it snows tons while we are gone.

He loved making this gingerbread house. At first he would bite pieces of candy and then stick them on.
Blake and I made this snow blob one day while Janie was napping. I didn't know it was so hard to build a snowman. In my defense, Eric said that it wasn't good snow for building because it was all powder. We had fun and I even showed Blake how to make a snow angel.

Here he is making our Christmas treats.
Here are some things Blake's said lately:
* "Hey guys, I've got an idea."
* Said a prayer for lunch and mentioned how the snow was yucky. (He had seen a big clump of brown snow in the road.)
* Over Thanksgiving, Uncle Nathan told Blake to follow Abbie down the stairs. Blake followed his cousin and started singing "Follow the prophet..."
* A week later he showed me a block and told me he didn't want Janie to swallow it. As he returned to play he sang to himself to the tune of Follow the Prophet "Swallow the block, swallow the block..."
* I tried to get him to get off a container he was standing on. He thinks I pushed him off so he put me in time out.
* He was coloring with crayons the other day and said "My pink one not work. We have to get batteries for this one."

Janie - 10 Months

Janie stands! I think the longest she can stand is about 20 seconds. She is getting better everyday and attempted to take a step today. She smiles at everyone she sees. She claps her hands when I sing "If you're happy and you know it." She loves to dance to music. Has starting to wave her hand. Sticks out her tongue when I ask her to. Touched her nose on command for about a week but then won't do it anymore. She is starting to sign "more." I love watching her learn. She is always on the move and into something. She throws a little fit if she doesn't get what she wants. Today she started falling back onto the floor and screamed when she got mad. Oh boy. Her feet are ticklish. Her bottom two teeth are in.

We woke up to lots of snow and Eric got to do his first driveway shovel. I like the fresh powder look. Blake wanted to go play in the snow at 7p.m. so Eric took him. They were diving in the powder with the football. Blake asked if I wanted to go and I said no way. But it is pretty to look at for now.
