Christmas 2015

We had a great Christmas.  For the two week break, we stayed home and relaxed.  Most nights we got together with friends (Schmidts, Teuschers, Browns) and played games until way past our bedtimes.

On Christmas morning the kids were happy to open their presents.  They loved the basketball game we got them for the basement, and were excited to find out we would go to Disney World in January.  All smiles.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to a party at the Schmidt's house.  There was lots of food and a fun white elephant gift exchange.  We came home and read the account of the birth or Jesus in Luke.  The kids opened pajamas.  They were so excited for Christmas they wanted to sleep together in the same room.

Ritz Cookies

For lunch we ate from Mr. Gyros.  Then we made our Christmas cookies.  The kids were good helpers and eager to help and eat.

Christmas Fun

Santa Visits
The kids saw Santa at our library after school.  To my surprise, they all asked for IPads.

I took the boys to a kids activity one morning.  This time Ty asked for an IPod.  I was proud of him for talking to Santa.

Janie's Kindergarten Gingerbread Man Hunt

I was able to go to Janie's class to help as they went on a gingerbread man hunt.  We walked around the school from clue to clue trying to figure out where the gingerbread man went.  They found him back in their classroom with a cookie for each of them at their desk.  I was so glad I went.  Janie loved this activity and was happy I was there with her.  She greeted me with a big, knock me over, kind of hug.

Gingerbread House Decorating

Janie: "This is the most awesomest gingerbread  house ever and I can't stop thinking about it."
