Blake just finished a ten week basketball league put on by the high school. It was every Saturday morning for an hour and a half. He loves his sports.

Ice Festival
There is an ice festival downtown every year. Sad to say that this is our first year going, but it is probably because the weather was bearable. The kids loved seeing all of the sculptures.
Janie is 6!
Janie had a great birthday. It started with tulips, balloons, and donuts. She went to school and took cookies to share with her class. Eric returned home from a business trip just in time to pick Blake and Janie up from school. We told friends that we were bringing cupcakes to a new restaurant called Fire and Ice. It serves pizza and ice cream and is a fun hang out place with free activities--ping pong, air hockey, etc. It was also our friend Andy's 29th birthday. Janie made sure to bring a birthday hate for him. About six families were there to celebrate so Janie was surrounded by friends. She was excited to get a razor scooter she had asked for.
Janie is outgoing, smart, and kind. She loves to read and I will often find her in a corner of the house reading by herself. She loves school and is eager to do her homework. She is motherly with Chet and she knows how to take care of him. She is aware of others and their needs. She follows the rules and makes sure others do too. She always wants to be playing with friends. She loves gymnastics. She likes boys and tells them that they are cute. She is obedient. She shares with others. Happy birthday Janie Jane!
