It is always nice to go home. After getting caught up on some sleep--we enjoyed spending time at the park every day. We went for walks, had ice cream at the Dairy twice, and attempted to go swimming in our pool but I am a wimp and it was too cold.
Jen and Michelle from Sunnyvale came to visit. We went to the park and sat and visited while the kids played. Ty was napping and Janie had a stomach bug so they both stayed home with my mom. It was so nice to be able to just talk and not have to chase them around. Love my kids--but that was just nice.
My Aunt Sally and cousin Bonnie came to visit for part of the week. Bonnie celebrated her 20th birthday in San Francisco. It was great to see them since I haven't in years. My kids loved playing with Bonnie. The morning after they arrived Janie asked me "When is Obama going to wake up?" Bonnie got a new nickname.
My kids love Missy. Ty loved her so much that he learned a new word and can now say dog. I wanted to take a picture of them with Missy and this is what I got. I don't remember what upset Janie. Most things do upset her lately. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on eggshells trying to keep her happy.
Look at her face! Imagine a growl with it because thats what she does when she is really mad. Glad I captured it.
Ty loved the stairs! He learned how to climb down them. He would go down the top step head first and then kick his legs around and then go down the normal way.
Trip to the mall.
Eric joined us lateThursday night.
The Maginots came to visit one night and we went to a park to visit while the kids played. It had been 4 years since our husbands had seen each other. The Bergs also came to visit (but we didn't take any pictures!). We also went to a park and later had a game night like the good old days. I love these friends and grateful that they drove in bad traffic to see us. Like I said, always good to go home. But here were some of the not so fun parts.
- I thought Blake threw up on the airplane because of all the treats he ate. But two days later he threw up again.
- Janie caught the bug but instead had to go potty every 5 minutes for three days. I was so tired of wiping that bum!
- Then Bonnie got sick.
- Then my mom got sick. I felt so bad that we brought this disease to share with everyone.
- My mom and I took the kids to eat dinner at Red Robin. I thought Janie was starting to feel better but she still had to go potty all the time. My mom and I took turns taking her. I was trying to get everyone their food. Somehow a full yogurt spilled all over the floor. Then Ty stuck his hand down his throat and gagged himself and threw up all over the place. It was too much! A trip to remember.

Loved having you with me. Love you all. Great fun. Lots of memories to think on. And still in recovery.
