January 2018 (Part 2)

I thought I had all of my January pictures uploaded to the computer but I didn't.  I found a bunch more but now all of January will be out of order.  Oh well.  Just getting it done.

The kids like to spy on mom.  I can hear or see them hiding and watching me while I'm in the kitchen.  If I say "What are you doing?!"  They scream and run back upstairs.  Here is their spy map.

It was such a cold January that the kids didn't get to go sledding--except for this one day.  But it was still too cold.  I stayed in the car with Cal in case anyone wanted to come get warm.  Eric and the kids sled for about an hour at a hill about a mile from our house.

Trip to DQ while Janie was at hip hop on a Monday night.  Eric was at work.

They are pretty obsessed with Mario.  Chet probably loves it the most.  He is always asking (and crying and whining) to play.  But he doesn't actually play--he just sits and watches.

January 2018

Ty came with me to watch Blake play in his basketball game at the Rec Center.  Blake was invited to plat at his friend Michael's house afterward.  Ty and I went out on a little date to Jimmy John's.  Ty at that whole sandwich!  I was shocked.
Cal LOVES taking a bath.  If I ever ask him if he wants to take a bath, he heads straight for the stairs and to my bathroom to get in the big tub.

Chet is a sunbeam!  I was called to be the primary chorister in November.  It is fun to be with my kids in primary.  (Except for when Chet comes up crying and clings to my legs because he wants to participate or doesn't like what song we are singing.  When that happens, it is the opposite of fun.)

I got Chet to take a nap in my bed one day!  Sometimes he really needs some extra sleep but it is so hard to get him to nap.  Victory.

Ty loves playing games.  Especially Cover Your Assets.  The bonus was we got to play it together while the older two were at school, and the younger two napped.

We played in the hallway of Hollywood Lane Elementary while Blake had a basketball practice one night.  We did relays and running drills.  Blake played on the white board.
I took this picture to document a not fun trip to Aldi's with these three.  I avoid shopping with them at all costs.  I think we were out of milk and a few other staples.
I've started making yogurt in my new instant pot (Thanks mom and dad for this Christmas present.)  It's easy to make and way cheaper.

We spend a lot of our day hanging out in the basement.

Snow Day

We made a pact with the Rish family that whenever there was a snow day we would all spend the day together.  They came over and brought donuts!  I think Blake ate three.  We did science experiments and brought some snow inside to play with.  We love these friends!
