New Bed
Since Blake has been getting out of his crib we changed it to a little bed. He has only slept in it two nights now and can't quite seem to stay in it. I check on him every time I'm up with Janie and I always find him in a new spot. I am nervous opening the door to see where/how I'll find him. He is still sleeping great through the night despite his weird positions.

Easter
We didn't do much for Easter this year, but Blake loved finding Easter eggs. We put fruit snacks and cheerios in them and he thought it was great! We hid them around a big room in our building and Blake squealed as he found them. He ran from egg to egg and wanted to open them and eat what was inside. He loved it so much that we hid the eggs again. This time most of the eggs were empty. He waited patiently on the couch in the next room while Eric hid the eggs. He again ran and squealed as he found more eggs. This time he picked each one up, shook it, and announced if it was empty or not. If it was he chucked it and ran to find another egg. Eggs are not cool without treats. Although I don't consider cheerios to be treats.
Janie is 2 months old. She is smiling tons and cooing. I melt when she does this and my eyes even water sometimes. It is so fun to have her interacting more. I have been reading her books lately only because my doctor asked me at her 2 week appointment if I had been reading her books. I told her I hadn't. (2 weeks?!) She asked me again at her one month check up and I still hadn't. I go in for her two month check up and want to have a good report. Anyways, Janie loves books! She smiles so big when I hold them up for her. I don't think she would have responded this way 6 weeks ago though.
2 Month Stats:
Weight - 11 pounds (50th %)
Height - 22 3/4 inches (50-75th %)
Head - 38.5 cm? (50th %)

Blake at 20 Months
Help! Blake just learned how to get out of his crib. The other day I went to go get him out of his crib and he greeted me at the door. I looked at Eric and yelled "no!" I liked having him contained in his bed.
He is becoming very independent. He swats our hands away when we try to help him do something like wash his hands.
He continues to make us laugh. Blake loves sirens. The other day he heard one in our apartment (on the 12th floor). He said what sounded like "pa way" and I could not figure out what he was saying. After he repeated it 10 times I gave up. Then he looked at me and said "Can't see it. Pa way!" Far away. Duh mom.
He loves his little sister. He greets her in the morning "Good morning Janie!" When she is sleeping he yells in her face "Hi Janie!" over and over again. He always wants to be next to her in her rainforest mobile but doesn't quite know how to get under delicately and I have to constantly protect her. Over a month ago I gave her a bath and she had spikey hair. I pointed that out to Blake. Even though her hair hasn't been spikey since, at least once a day he pulls a piece of her hair and says "spike."
Blake is scared to get on and off the elevator lately and always asks me to "hold you."
He frequently uses the phrase "Right now!" He had to get that from somewhere...we have to watch what we say. He keeps us on our toes.
