Our family reunion this year was in Park City, Utah. Our flight there included a 4 hour lay over in Denver. FOUR HOURS. We found an area and stuck to it. When we landed in Salt Lake City, we collected all our bags and headed to a shuttle to take us to get our rental car. It was very hot and we were all thirsty and without water. There seemed to be a shortage of rental cars based on conversations we overheard. By the time we got in line for our rental, we were told that there was not a car for us. I reserved a car but did not pay for it yet. I was afraid to pay in advance with COVID. I called all of my family to let them know that we were stuck. My mom, Amy, and Kim were all about an hour away from us. Between the three cars, there were 7 empty seats. We crammed all of our luggage and family into the three cars. It was stressful to say the least.
We made it to Park City! It is so great to be reunited with cousins.
Maggie announced to my parents that she was pregnant as we took this group shot. She said "say Maggie is pregnant!" She captured my parents reaction and it was perfect.
At night the adults played an interactive game with our phones. We had some good laughs.
We boarded the Heber Creeper for an hour and a half ride up and back. They played music and we sang and danced. It was hot.
We spent two days at the lake nearby. My kids got to paddle boat, tube, knee board, ski, and surf. My sisters had fun toys to share!
We went to this park twice. Perfect for a bunch of little boys. My mom brought paint and rocks for the kids to decorate.
We found a baseball field and did our traditional game. After Kurt and Blake put on shirts with candy taped to it. All of the kids chased them and tried to rip off candy. Lydia met us there and came over to visit after.
We made it home. The kids were pretty sad to say goodbye to family.
Blake had an EKG just to check on his heart. He did not want to do it.
I got on a big organizing kick post vacation. I ordered and hung these frames. And organized many cupboards and drawers.
We met the Ludlow's at a tennis court and played. Afterwards we grabbed some big slushies for the kids to drink out back.
My dad came to visit a week after our reunion. We had fun. We loved showing him Cedar Point. He took Blake and Ty golfing. He took Ty out to Malley's for ice cream. He took each kid out for lunch. He played Rummikub with the three older kids each night.
Our neighborhood is expanding--they are adding on another cul de sac and street of houses that will connect to another neighborhood. Cal and I enjoyed exploring the area.
We have been married 16 years! We celebrated by grabbing hamburgers from Heck's and eating at a nearby park. A bee bugged us the whole time. We went to Costco afterward. If that isn't love than I don't know what is.
