February 2020

Haley came over on a Sunday night and we tried each flavor of hot cocoa we got in our stockings for Christmas.  We got 1/8 cup of each.  I think we liked the mint chocolate, smores, and artic white the best.

Chet & Finley

Sweet Janie's 10th Birthday!

Cal and I brought her Jimmy John's for lunch and ate with her and her friends at school.  Janie wanted to make a peanut butter and chocolate trifle for her dessert and the Barnes came over to share it with us.

Janie is a happy girl with lots of friends.  She loves to read and bake.  She is so helpful and patient with her brothers.  She does not like to procrastinate and has to get her homework done well ahead of time.  She actively participates in family scripture reading and brings good insight.  Janie is just an all around great girl!

Sledding!  I think this was the first time I went with the kids and I loved it.

Chet's art from Kindergarten

A trip to the library.

Valentine's Day

Blake signed up for the ski club at his intermediate school.  He learned how to snow board and was able to go five times.  He would go on a Friday night and would take a bus to the slopes straight from school.  I would pick him up at 9:00 p.m. at the school.  He loved it and I'm happy he got to go off with friends and do something fun and new.  And good job mom for letting him do it!

Dress for Janie from Grandma.

Chuckee Cheese

Janie's check up at the doctor.  Girl is still tall!

I wasn't able to volunteer for one of Ty's class parties at school because they had enough help.  But I made it work to go in and volunteer for a little bit on a Friday.  I loved seeing Ty's classroom and him in action.  I think he was happy to have me there.

A temple trip with Cami and Becky.  We went out for Indian food after.

Each Friday night that Blake went snowboarding, Janie and Callie baked!

Another great basketball season.  This was Janie's first time and she did great.  She could steal the ball and fly down the court.  She was aggressive.  Blake's team won most of his.  I guess I didn't get a picture of him.

January 2020

Eric stayed home with Cal since he was sick, but the rest of us celebrated New Year's Eve at the Snow house.  We played Charades and Never Have I Ever.  Great company!  Happy New Year.

We spent another full day at Altitude Trampoline Park.  We were one of the first to arrive and the last to leave.

I taught the kids how to play Nertz.

A race to set all the lockers to zero while Blake had basketball practice.

Blake's first time ice skating at a combined youth activity.  This was my first activity attending as a young women leader.  It was pretty cold outside!

Spiked hair Cal

For Christmas, Blake got a craft per month delivered to our house.  Here is his calendar that he painted.

Sitting at Blake's practice

Quick stop at Menci's at Crocker Park while we ran a few errands together.

Play time at the rec center.

Before and after hair cuts

Cal loves chips

We surprised the older three and told them we were taking them to Universal Studios in Florida to go to Harry Potter World at the end of February.

Cal and I hang out and read books in a waiting room while Chet goes to gymnastics every Wednesday morning.  We often hit Costco afterwards for some lunch.

Blake received another surprise award in 6th grade.  This year is was for demonstrating the quality of respect.  Eric, Chet, Cal, and I sat in the audience to watch.  We got to stay afterward for a bagel breakfast.  We are so proud of Blake and the good choices he makes.

Playing in the snow.

Blake was received the priesthood on Sunday.

Cal pushed his high chair off the ledge and it broke.  I guess it is time to get rid of it.  His legs were getting a little too long for it...but I just didn't want to give up having him contained at meals!

Took the boys swimming at the Rec Center.

We made posters to hang their rooms with the goals they are working on.
