We got to spend a whole week in St. Louis for Thanksgiving break. We were there about 4 days before everyone else started to arrive.
First item of business--make sugar cookies!
We took the kids to the Science Center down town.
We played lots of games.
Each year I make a new pie to go along with the traditional french silk and pumpkin pie. This year I tried a chocolate peanut butter pie. It was good.
Our kids love their big cousins.
Eric and I took our crew plus Brian, Sarah, and Abbie to the zoo. It was my favorite day! The weather was perfect. I love watching my kids watch animals. They were with cousins.
When we first got there, they told us that for the next 30 minutes, the carousel rides were free. We hurried to the carousel which was on the opposite side of the zoo. We made it in time for one free ride! Worth it. Cal was scared, but Chet was really scared and cried the whole time.
My parents flew in to spend Thanksgiving at the Jensen's. They drove to get my Grandma Lerch and bring her over. It was fun having both sides together. They stayed in a hotel and came over for a couple of days.
We introduced the game Codenames. It was a hit.
Grandma and Grandpa's treat to slushies.
Scott and Mary Anne brought their dog Lacey.
Gotta have ring pops for the drive home!
