Ty is Three!

Here is Ty at nursery the day before his birthday.  He is wearing the cake hat.

We started the morning off by taking Blake and Janie to golf lessons.  Ty spends a lot of time filling up his cup with water.

Ty found a rolly polly.  He asked me if he could throw it away in the trash can.  I told him not to but he did.  Then he said something like "See he is not crying.  He doesn't have a mouth so he can't make noise."

After golf, Blake and Janie had swimming lessons.  My friend Stephanie had brought a present for him.  She have Ty their Elmo doll because Ty always loves to play with it at their house.  He was so excited.

Then we headed to our new favorite town, New Buffalo.  It is about a thirty minute drive.  There is a new public library there.  The kids read and earned summer reading prizes there.  Then we went to our favorite park with some friends for a bit.

Ty was walking on this toy and I heard him counting to himself "One, two, three--because I'm three!-- four..."

"No don't take my picture!"

We love this cute, silly, crazy, hyper, funny, sweet, boy.

Ty is Something

After going to the park where Ty continued to throw sand in the air and in his face despite my telling him not to.  He was so dirty with so much sand in his hair.

Recently if it is quiet I find myself asking "Where is Ty?!"  He found some craft paint and I found him holding a paintbrush and happily painting our cupboard in the bathroom

I keep telling him not to draw on his body but he can't seem to help himself.  Dropping naps have sure changed this little boy!  Every once in awhile I can get him to take a nap with me.

Blake and Baseball

Blake had a great baseball season.  When up to bat he usually got a hit and got on base.  He played first base, short stop, pitcher, and outfield.  I loved watching him play and loved seeing a small smile and wave when he would glance over at me.

Chet - 11 Months

Chet's personality is shining through.  He is a happy and curious kid.  He goes with the flow and naps where and when he can.  He is cruising and starting to stand by himself for about five seconds.  He can say his own version of "doggie."  He gets into cupboards, climbs stairs, and cries when we shut a door so he can't go in.  He loves being read to (certain books) and is picky about what finger foods he will eat.  He is always smiling, unless he is screaming high high pitch in his high chair because he wants out.
