Navy Pier

Eric didn't have class on Monday so we went to Navy Pier. We hopped on an overly crowded bus and held on tight as we headed downtown. Navy Pier reminded me of a mix between Pier 39 and Beach Boardwalk. I really liked downtown- more than I thought I would. I'm excited to keep exploring...

Close Call

This weekend we went for a walk along Lake Michigan. It was such a nice day and the water was beautiful. We stopped to take some pictures and then continued on our way. About 10 minutes later I went to grab my camera but couldn't find it. Eric quickly realized that it had fallen out of the stroller because of where I had placed it. I told him to hurry and back track where we had walked while I pushed the stroller. I was envisioning a sprint but didn't get more than a speed walk. As I followed behind I was getting depressed imagining how we were going to have to buy a new camera. There were so many people around and someone could have easily picked it up. When I met up with him I knew he had found it and that it was hidden in his back pocket. I was so relieved. Why does it seem like Eric is always smiling at me while shaking his head? And why does it seem like I'm always saying "woopsies."

Picadilly

We live on the twelfth and top floor of Picadilly Apartments. This building was built in the 1920's and used to be a hotel.

And we thought our last kitchen was small...

Wisconsin

For conference weekend we went to Wisconsin to visit Eric's sister and her family. Wisconsin is cold! I was freezing and am so worried about winter in Chicago. It was so fun to spend time with these cute kids. On Saturday morning we went to watch them play soccer. Thanks for a fun weekend Keri!
