Kim's House

We had the best week at Kim's house.

We went to swim at her neighbors indoor pool almost every day.  The kids also played in their backyard and jumped on their trampoline.  It was so nice of them to let us invade.

Cal found a fun bath tub to play in and made himself right at home.  If I ever couldn't find him, I'd look in the bathroom.

While Kim and Elaine had piano lessons, I played with the kids at the park.

A fun art activity after story time at the library.

The kids watched some Magic School Bus, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy during the week.

Uncle Doctor Brett checked everyone's eyes.  He said Janie needed glasses now and that Ty will likely need them in the near future.

Donuts at their local grocery store.  The apple fritter was delicious!

A fun (and dirty) wooden park.  It was a little walk from where we had to park.  And I left my van door open the whole time.

Eric held down the fort while the three of us went to a nice lunch at one of Kim's favorite places in town.  It was delightful.

Girls gotta paint their nails of course.

We played the game Sansoucci multiple times every night.  Can't get much better than that!

We were so sad to leave.  I even shed some real tears on the flight home.  It hurts living so far away from your favorite people.  I'm so glad we made this trip happen.  Kim and Brett were great hosts.  And I'm so glad Amy drove in for the fun.

Space Needle and Pikes Market

We connected with the Mowers at IKEA.  We checked the kids into the play area and shopped a bit.

We met up with friends that moved to Seattle from Ohio--the Millers.  Cami and I made fast friends before they moved.  It was so nice of them to come say hi to us and play at the park in the rain.  They have four kids that line up well with ours.

Our friends went home and then we went with Kim and Co. to Pikes Market.
The gum wall was pretty gross. It was fun seeing workers throwing large fish back and forth at each other.  The flowers that were for sale were beautiful.    I liked checking out this area.

Off to Seattle!

We have been wanting to visit Kim and her family for a long time.  It has been tough with the distance, cost, and a consistently growing family.  But it was time and we made it happen.  We pulled the kids out of school for a week and went to check out Seattle and then play with cousins.  Kim and Brett live in Selah, Washington--about a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle.

It was quite the ordeal getting there--a very long day.  But we made it and then crashed at the hotel very late at night.
Whatever hotel we stayed in was great.  I think it was the best complimentary breakfast we have ever had.  Sprinkles for your French toast?  Yes please.

The hotel also had a little game room that the kids enjoyed.  Followed by swimming in the pool.  It was good family time before we went to see the Mowers.

I forgot the swim diaper.

Mid April 2018

A Sunday night playing "Doubles."  You roll the dice and if you get doubles you can start eating the candy.  Once someone else rolls doubles your eating turn is over.
Cute Janie with her missing front teeth.
Cal loves his baths oh so much.

A picture of these two right after school.  4th and 2nd grade.

Another one of Blake's creations.  A game of pool made out of duck tape.  I love seeing what he will make.

A picture with Callie.  She loves Cal!

We got a great deal on helmets and bought 6 of them for the family.
