Last Day of 3rd and 1st Grade

Ty, Chet, Cal, and I joined Janie for her end of the year ice cream party.  We brought m&ms for a topping.  We got to see Blake for a minute at the end of his recess.  Janie made good friends this year with a girl named Autumn.  She insisted that I meet this friends mom so that I could set up some play dates during the summer.  She probably asked me to go introduce myself seven times.  I finally did.  It was fun to see Janie in her element with her classmates.  And Ty and Chet loved having ice cream for lunch.

We had to celebrate the last day of school with some ice cream at Malley's  We had coupons from Malley's candy bars the kids were given at Halloween.  We did some buy one get one free sundae.  I think this is a tradition that needs to stick.

Last Day of School Eve

The kids wanted a snack before bedtime.  I was hanging out with Cal in the toy room.  I turned to see them eating still in the kitchen, but near their mama.  I love that they wanted to be near me.

I stopped by the rec center park where Blake was having his third grade end of the year party.  When I pulled up he was busy playing a soccer game with his friends.  Later he told be about how there was a DJ there and they had a dance party.  I was surprised to hear that Blake totally got his groove on.  I asked him to show me his moves and he busted a few out.  I love it.

These three were hyper at one of Blake's baseball game.  They were holding hands, dancing, and singing.  It was the night before the last day of school, so the excitement was definitely warranted.

Cute boys

We were all playing outside and Chet went inside.  After a few minutes and he didn't come back out I went to find him.  He was in my bathroom playing with the water.

Fun at the rec center.  Chet calls it the Rec.

Cal is always smiling.

Bagels with Barrett

Blake earned getting Bagels with Barrett (the school principal).  Every month a teacher can nominate a student to receive this award and privilege.  I will have to look it up to see what it was for specifically.  Basically, he is an awesome kid.  Janie always earned this award earlier in the year.  Eric took her early in the morning before work so I don't have any pictures.  I love that I have good kids at school!  I am proud of them.

Took this picture to show Eric how much we all ate.

In case I want to remember his whiney face.

End of May

Here is Cal checking out this toy.

Every time that Blake's baseball team won three games in a row, his coach would treat the team to ice cream.  Here they are at Mitchell's and Blake was in heaven.  His own waffle cone with a big old scoop of cookies and cream.
